Golden Triangle

Leaving early the next morning with new driver and car it takes two and half hours to get out of massive Delhi traffic. There is still lots of traffic, all the time, all the way. The style of driving is more than agressive, blowing the horn, squeezing into impossibly small spaces between trucks, buses, motorbikes carrying whole families, as well as tractors, camels, mules, and people pulling carts. Oh yes, the bycycle and motorbike rickshaws too. And yes the braman bulls, cows, calves are also wondering through it all. It was at this point that I decided that my buying traveler's insurance had been a good idea. I bought  an extra package for just the month to get me to Australia, after that I have basic coverage through my HIUSA membership. But my driver was excellent, never had any worry about him. He manuvered through that roiling chaos without hesitation using the horn more than the brakes. His name was Umesh, the name of Shiva's mother, that is what I think he said.  He was reassuring me I was in safe hands; and indeed I felt that was so.

We stopped on the way to Agar at a temple to visit, and without my itinerary I can't name it now.

Did I mention that we never got out of the smoggy, dirty air? It lightened a bit out of the city proper, but like the trash it was a constant factor.
